Congratulations to the IPLSA Scholarship Recipients!
Clinton Tyler Jones is the recipient of the Neal Lee Memorial Scholarship. Clinton is a student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. He is working towards his Bachelor’s degree in construction management with a specialization in land surveying. He participates in Include Survey Club, Turning Point USA, and student government where he serves a senator for the School of Engineering.
The first Foundation Scholarship recipient is Austin Levi Mattingly. Austin is a student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. He is studying Construction Management with a Land Surveying Specialization and expects to graduate in May of 2021. He has completed three internships with the Illinois Department of Transportation – District 5. Austin plans to obtain a professional land surveyors license and would like to work under a licensed surveyor.
The recipient of the Seiler Instrument Scholarship is Cody Robert Smith. Cody is a student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. He is working towards his Master’s degree in civil engineering. Additionally, Cody has participated in the Land Surveying Club and the American Society of Professional Engineers. His goals include to eventually open his own surveying company and starting an organization to provide engineering services in third-world countries.
Mathew Jude Weber is the recipient of the Michael Curtis Memorial Scholarship. Mathew is currently a student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. He is working on his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management with a Specialization in Land Survey. This past summer, Mat received a prestigious opportunity through his program at SIUE to serve as an intern with Alberici Constructors.
The second Foundation Scholarship recipient is Taylor N. DeGoyler. Taylor is a student at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and is studying Business Administration focusing in management. She also is minoring in construction management and plans to enroll in a program to receive a professional certificate of land surveying.
The recipient 24-Semester Hour Roy “Skip” Frank Scholarship, sponsored by the Little Egyptian Chapter, is Jadin Silas Tanner. Jadin is a student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois and is studying Civil Engineering. He is also interested in Land Surveying and is attending Parkland College’s Certificate of Surveying program. He is currently employed at John H. Crawford and Associates and has been there since 2017. Jadin plans to obtain a professional land surveyors license
