All conference attendees will get a copy, and Dick will discuss this book at these presentations. In addition, he has put together more than 150 pages of all new material for this conference. The topics include: Recent case law relating to the public's use of non-navigable rivers; the consequences of adding a name to a survey certification; who owns a driveway?; the surveyor and the commercial real estate transaction; Illinois case law as to encroachments and building line violations; "risky" encroachments; covenants, conditions, and restrictions; and "The Law of the Neighborhood," which covers real estate issues like tree encroachments and drainage problems that affect people living close together in today's society.

1 PDH; Mark Vinopal, Ayres This presentation will examine practical methods for using UAS lidar and imagery data for survey and mapping professionals. This includes background information on lidar technology, best practices for use, and expected accuracies. In addition, the presentation will compare three approaches for surveying and mapping site-specific projects. Lidar and imagery collected from UAS will be compared and contrasted to other aerial platforms. Presenter Matt Vinopal will distinguish between lidar and photogrammetry and discuss the most appropriate approach to various project types. He will cover the topics of expected accuracies and best practices for generating and using elevation datasets and planimetrics.
