POLICIES

REGISTRATION DEADLINES - Pre-Registration closes at 5 PM on February 1, 2017 (registrations must be received in the IPLSA office at that time). On-site registration is available by adding $75 to the regular registration rates. NO EXCEPTIONS.

CANCELLATIONS - Refunds will be made for cancellations received PRIOR to January 15, 2017, less a $50 fee. No refunds will be issued after that date. Registrations may be transferred to another Land Surveyor if notice is provided to the IPLSA office no later than 5 PM on February 1, 2017.

NAME BADGES - Your name badge is your ticket for all conference events and must be worn or presented upon entry to each function. Badges may not be transferred/shared with another person.

RECORDING WAIVER (Photography, Audio & Video) - Portions of this IPLSA meeting may be photographed or audio/video recorded for various purposes, including reporting, promotion, archival, or sale and distribution. By registering, individuals agree that the IPLSA may photograph or record by audio/video their attendance and involvement in any portion of the meeting. Furthermore, individuals agree that IPLSA may use these photographs and/or recordings without additional approval or permission.

PDH = 1, Speaker:  John Ellingson  - In 2007, the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) initiated an ambitious program to develop a new geopotential (vertical) datum to replace the current vertical datum of the United States, NAVD 88. The program, titled “Gravity for the Redefinition of the American Vertical Datum” (GRAV-D), is scheduled to complete work on the new datum in 2022. When completed, the new geopotential datum will replace NAVD 88. This presentation will help you understand why and how NGS is working to implement these changes. It is time to start preparing for this important change.
